Zeta Chi is rooted deeply in Bloomsburg History. Today’s chapter can be traced back to Lambda Alpha Mu (founded in the late 1960s). This organization dissolved in 1985. Some ΛΑΜ sisters founded Phi Delta in January 1987, and Phi Sigma Sigma National Sorority (Epsilon Zeta Chapter) was founded in January 1988. Phi Sig Sig welcomed the sisters of Phi Delta in 1997. Phi Sigma Sigma was active at Bloomsburg for over 30 years until they chose to become the local sorority Zeta Chi in 2022. ZX has over 70 initiated sisters with 47 active sisters today.

Their philanthropy is the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital and the Women’s Refugee Commission.
